Diversity & Inclusion

At Westmill we pride ourselves on our passion for food and people, where collaboration, diversity, and inclusion are integral in everything that we do. This is underpinned with our employee resource groups where members and allies help create an inclusive environment and special events are celebrated.  We have six employee resource groups; Celebrating Ethnic Diversity, LGBTQ+, Women in Westmill, Disability and Neurodiversity, Sustainability and Mental Health First Aiders.

Celebrating Communities

Our mission is to give back to the communities in which we operate and to those who consume our products. Through the Westmill Celebrating Communities Programme, we donate a selection of our delicious products to community meal programs and food bank events. Additionally, each person at Westmill is encouraged to dedicate one day each year to volunteer for a charity of their choice.

Career Development

At Westmill, the development of our people is one of our top priorities. We invest significantly in training and equipping our people with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in their roles. Each year, we dedicate an entire month to career development, where we offer a wide range of workshops, panel discussions, and mentorship opportunities aimed at helping individuals map out their career paths and achieve their professional goals.


By prioritising our people’s growth, we are investing in a brighter future for both our people and our business.
Twice a year, selected cohorts of our leaders participate externally in our “Leaders of Tomorrow” programme. (see picture for last cohort)

Our Values

At Westmill, our five core values are fundamental to what we do and how we do our roles. The commitment to living our values is evidenced in our annual Value Awards. Every quarter, we open a nomination window during which we receive an abundance of nominations for each value for people across all functions. In 2024, we received over 400 nominations. Our winners are then selected and celebrated at each site. We are proud to have such dedicated people at Westmill and see so many of our people living the Westmill values every day.
