The Opportunity
This fantastic opportunity has arrived as we look to further strengthen our engineering problem solving ability and continuous improvement journey. The individual will support the site engineering team to deliver in a fast-paced flagship site that has undergone a multi-million-pound investment with further significant capital plans in the coming years. Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager this role will support the day to day management of engineering activities and work closely with the Engineering Planner, Reliability & Control Systems Engineer, and Reliability & CI Projects Engineer, with responsibility for ensuring compliance with statutory, mandatory and Legal requirements, safe and effective asset care for equipment, services, utilities and facilities and that effective engineering support is provided to the operation and site teams 24/7.
The successful candidate will act as a deputy for the Site Engineering Manager and drive daily control meetings within the department. This role will own Health and Safety management/surveillance, support and manage improvement project delivery, support the delivery of the engineering strategy for asset care and execute scheduled contract maintenance activities. The role will also provide analysis and reporting of engineering KPI’s & action plans, as well as supporting the Site Engineering Manager to identify training requirements for the team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience within a similar position and at management level. The post holder will need excellent IT skills and communication skills, both orally and written, with the ability to manage the expectations of key stakeholders and possess a keen eye for detail.
