Adanna Onu - Category Management Exec
I began my career at Westmill in the supply chain graduate scheme which set me up with a solid foundation and understanding of the business. I later moved into my current role - Category & Project Executive, where I’ve been able to use data and insights to help shape brand strategies and drive growth. I have been able to grow personally too, leading one of our employee resource groups and training as a Mental Health First Aider.
Clarke Smith - Project Engineer
Graduating in Mechanical Engineering, I joined Westmill as a Project Officer in April 2021. After just over a year in role I was promoted to Project Engineer, where I planned and implemented a range of projects, where I learnt so much. Most recently, I became a Site Shift Manager in the factory where I am now gaining and broadening my operations experience.
Ayse Ahmed - Team Leader
I began my journey here 12 years ago in the staff shop and was quickly promoted to a role in the customer services team. When I was given the opportunity I realised I could grow not only within the department, but within myself and I have built so much confidence. In my current role as Customer Services Team Leader, I have been able to complete an internship, receiving a distinction which has helped me go from strength to strength within my role.
Yuyu Sun- Customer Controller
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I embarked on a new journey with Westmill. Over the years, my role evolved, and with it, my responsibilities grew significantly. Today, I proudly manage the entire Scotland region, a role that has allowed me to make a meaningful impact. Working at Westmill has been a deeply rewarding experience; I feel welcomed and supported by a company that invests in its people. With numerous training opportunities and a strong sense of recognition, I am proud to be part of a team that values growth and development.
Sharon Bradford - Warehouse Admin
I joined Westmill in 2016 as a Production Operator in the spice department. After progressing to Warehouse Administrator, I helped manage daily operations and the implementation of a new system. After 7 years, I was promoted to Production Coordinator, where I hope to strengthen my knowledge and expertise in the production side of the business. Westmill has offered me lots of opportunities to gain experience and new skills which have given me the confidence to progress into my current role.
Tom Bancroft - Financial Controller
I joined ABF and worked in a number of our sister businesses from 2016 through to 2022. I was thrilled to be successful for the Financial Controller position at Westmill. Since joining in 2022, my experience has been everything I hoped for—challenging, engaging, and instrumental in my career development. Westmill is a fast-paced business that presents diverse challenges across its key segments, keeping every day interesting and full of learning opportunities.
Dominik Weiler
My name is Dominik and I’m a Lead Technologist in the Product Delivery team here at Westmill. Before joining the company, I have worked in product and process development roles within the soft drink and confectionery industry. What I enjoy most about Westmill is the variety of my current role and scope for personal development. I could be getting creative in the test kitchen, supporting a factory trial, or presenting to customers, all within a week. Our portfolio consists of fantastic products that we are genuinely proud to present, so tasting them in application is never a bad day for a passionate foodie like me.
Kate Forrest - Procurement Manager
I joined ABF in 2017 working for one of our sister businesses. In 2023, I embraced a new challenge by joining the Procurement team at Westmill. This exciting step required me to push myself, but I knew with the strong network I have developed and the support from my peers across all ABF divisions, no problem would be too big to tackle. Since the first day in Westmill I have learnt so much and have been well-supported in my development.
Fiona Stoneman - Commercial Finance Business Partner
I joined Westmill in February 2022 as Commercial Finance Business Partner. From the day I started at Westmill everyone was welcoming and approachable. I really enjoy my role interacting with Sales and Marketing Teams. Every day is different at Westmill, even for a bean counter like me! Most recently I surpassed my expectations and gained a Distinction at Level 5 Operational / Departmental Manager – Women in Leadership.
