The Opportunity

There is now an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Technologist to join the Westmill Central Technical Team. You will act as the technical liaison between business-to-business and retail customers, and Westmill’s manufacturing technical teams, fostering strong relationships, as well as supporting the Commercial Team to win new retail accounts and own cross functional internal audit programmes providing technical assurance. To be successful in your application, you must demonstrate that you can prioritise and create plans that drives continuous improvement and have a focused and pragmatic approach to problem solving, can use root cause analysis to identify, assess and select the most appropriate course of action to resolve issues and have experience of retailer codes of practice. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate technical experience within a food manufacturing environment with a proactive work ethic and excellent communication skills.

We are looking for a candidate that is organised and structured in managing priorities. You have excellent attention to detail and are rigorous with Health & Safety and Food Safety. You should be flexible and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to make the right decisions and effectively escalate issues as they arise. Shift experience and good communication skills would be beneficial and experience in manufacturing and machinery would be ideal. You must be able to ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures ensuring that the working environment is always safe, as well as all processes and equipment in accordance with operating procedures. You will need to use all available resources and maintain a hygienic/orderly working environment
