Westmill Trafford is a modern well invested facility, manufacturing and packing Noodles for the UK and European markets. The site operates on 24/7 shift patterns and supplies a range of Branded and Own Label products to a wide range of customers including wholesalers, business to business industrial customers as well as grocery retail. There are 135 full time employees on site providing self-sufficient capability across operations, planning, technical, engineering, finance, logistics and warehousing. The Trafford site is one of ABF’s flagship sites which continues to receive significant capital investment to support the business to achieve ambitious growth plans over the coming years
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse & Distribution Manager to join our team and lead our Trafford Warehouse Team and join Westmill as we build for the future. Working with a highly professional and dedicated team, this will give the opportunity to shape and influence, whilst building new skills & experience. Westmill has a clear strategy and continues to invest in capital, systems, process, product, and people capability to ensure we are well positioned for growth. Reporting to the Site General Manager your primary objective is to lead and manage the Trafford warehouse to operate safely to a high level of efficiency, hygiene, and stock accuracy and within budget (labour, maintenance, external storage). The role is demanding, high profile and will be a fantastic platform to grow a significant career within the world’s largest food business. The scope and breadth of the key accountabilities will provide considerable stretch as you will be responsible for the financial performance, collaboration with the Westmill distribution team, with responsibility for health & safety and Food safety & quality.
Who are we looking for
You must able to demonstrate strong leadership with effective communication, be well organised and structured in managing priorities, have excellent attention to detail and computer literacy skills along with having experience of driving high standards in Health & Safety and Food Safety. Experience of a warehousing environment (FMCG ideally) and warehouse management system would be advantageous.
