What does this role offer?

Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you will be managing the packaging aspects of projects from design to launch for NPD, CI initiatives, material & design changes. You will both instigate and support line trials, 1st production runs whilst documenting all aspects of the process. You will be responsible for the creation and testing of pallet patterns, compiling & completing accurate material specification, and ensuring food contact materials are legally compliant. This is a key role in helping Westmill to deliver the UK Plastic Pact to achieve our commitment to our sustainability strategy.

This is a broad and challenging role where cross functional working is key, you will work closely and build relationships with our marketing, procurement & manufacturing teams as well as suppliers.

What are we looking for?

To apply for the role, you will need to be extremely organised and able to juggle multiple projects with the ability to prioritise to meet multiple deadlines, with a high level of attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Packaging Technology with a related technical discipline or experience in a similar role. Experience working in a food factory environment would be highly desirable.
