What the role offers:
A fantastic opportunity to work across our diverse supply chain to ensure we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time by having engaged partners who are passionate about our customers as much as we are. Liaising closely with the Commercial, Customer Service, Planning and Procurement teams to develop robust and flexible processes which will drive Westmill performance in a cost-effective manner to meet the challenges of an everchanging international supply chain. To manage and grow our dedicated and experienced logistics team, ensuring we are prepared for the opportunities that will come our way.
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record of managing multiple logistics partners across transport, warehousing, ocean freight including export, import and customs clearance. You will be an adept communicator and presenter, with excellent project and stakeholder management skills, who enjoys getting things done and bringing people along with you on the journey. Highly numerate with good commercial acumen, experience in negotiating, delivering and managing third party logistic contracts is key, as is the desire to create a continuous improvement culture through the Logistics supply chain.
In addition to ownership of the period reporting and control of the budgetary spend, you will support the Senior Planning Manager and Customer Service Manager to ensure we deliver a great customer experience every day. You will also lead and manage the creation of the Logistics team’s future plans, ensuring the resources are in place to create a forward thinking and dynamic logistics function.
If successful, you will report directly to the Head of Logistics & Customer Service and be part of a wider team of 20 people that includes Customer Service, Planning and the direct reports from the Logistics team.
