Recently Westmill concluded a multi-million pound investment across its sites. Part of this investment involved transferring our Rajah Spice packing operation from Trafford to Enfield, which entailed the installation of new form, fill, seal and automated case packing equipment. There is further investment planned for further automation within this facility. We are looking for a self-starter who can advance our maintenance and asset improvement strategy through implementing change with their team.

What the role offers:
This is an excellent opportunity and an exciting time to be joining the site leadership team as Site Engineering Manager.
Reporting to the Site General Manager you will have site wide Engineering ownership which includes the head office and the entire food manufacturing/packing operation where we pack c.40k tonnes of edible oils and coconut products per annum plus 2k tonnes p.a. within the Spice packing department. The role is demanding, high profile and will be a fantastic platform to grow a significant career within a global food business. Working with a highly professional and dedicated team, this will give the opportunity to shape and influence, whilst also building new skills & experience.

What the role entails
A strong leader of Operational Engineering, capable of motivating and leading maintenance teams to perform to the best of their ability. Steering the site Engineering function to collaborate with Operation to ensure that OEE targets are met and improved to deliver the most cost effective quality product to its wide customer base.
Ability to deliver excellent engineering standards, embedding the changes and providing clear leadership to support the site team through all future changes. Ability to implement a robust engineering strategy working with OEMs, alongside our operations and capital teams, linked to reliability, performance improvement, asset care, risk management and essential replacement. Development and adoption of pro-active Maintenance Best Practice Systems.
Developing our people, having an organisation fit for the extended site and beginning our journey on apprenticeships. Liaising with other Westmill and ABF sites to share best practice and set standards, and responsibility for safety and legal compliance.
